Text Messaging has become one of the world's fastest ways of communication. It has gained much attraction world wide. From the year 2000 to present day, the amount of texters has increased. Phone users prefer to send a text message than make a phone call. As the years pass more phone companies are developing phones that are made just for texting. Phones such as the sidekick, the Samsung gravity, and the Blackberry are made primarily for texting. And more rate plans have added unlimited texting to the plans. Unlimited texting used to be very expensive so many people wouldn't text just until recently they have become quiet cheap and affordable. Even now people don't even need phones to text, all they need is there Ipods. All they have to do is download an app and they can just text away. Another way of texting without a phone is by finding a website online that will send free text messages.
Text messaging, as people know, is very addicting activity according to a Nokia survey. To me this is very true. I am addicted to text messaging. Without texting I would probably be clueless to what happens around me, I mean socially wise. It feels horrible when my parents don't pay the phone bill because I can receive a message but i can't reply to it. That is even why I have Metro PCS so I can text unlimited at a cheap price. I can probably text about 20 messages in a minute. But I know there are others that can text faster than me. As we all know, texting in Cooper Hall is impossible, unless we are like in fourth floor but it doesn't matter anyways since we can't text in class. But once class is over, everyone takes out there phones and there iPods and start texting like crazy. Even as I'm writing this blog I am texting someone. I guess right now we don't see texting as a bad thing but it could be later on. But for now I guess I'm going to keep texting until I have no one left to text or if my parents don't pay the bill.
Wow, you are right, text messaging is like a hobby to many people; I actually know people that cannot live without a phone. I mean I do not want to be rude but it seems to me like you are a text messaging monster. I think that society would be a little more social if we did not have all these technology items like the txt messaging ipods and the 800 words per minute smart phones. Just an opinion.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you on this one. Many kids in society today couldnt go an entire day without texting someone. I got so addicted to texting that if i got lower than a B in any class, my mom would call the phone company and take away my texting till i brought the grade back up to an A or B. This was such a good punishment for me because i loved texting and i worked so hard to get it back.
ReplyDeleteOh Raquel. You do in fact Text A LOT!! In lecture halls on the toilet. You text but its more convenient to text than talk on the phone.
ReplyDeleteYour sooooo right, sending text messages is very popular mostly everybody is sends texts nowadays. Especially me for example I love to text.
ReplyDeleteYou are completely right. Texting is crazy! It comes in handy when you just need a quick answer or just feel like chatting with someone, when you can't literally talk. At the same time though, texting is getting a little ridiculous. First off, texting while driving is a no no. As many times as we say we don't do it, we do. It is so dangerous, and just simply foolish. Another thing that bothers me about texting, is I feel that we use it as a way to get out of directly talking to people and avoiding confrontation which isn't good. Don't get me wrong...I LOVE TEXTING, but I think sometimes we let it get out of hand.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE TO TEXT.. i txt 24/7 with my boyfriend. My phone is everything to me...i agree with you txt messaging ists what we do
